Dwarf Sagittaria (Sagittaria subulata) is one of the easiest and most rewarding carpeting plants you can grow. Its slender grass-like blades spread naturally across the substrate, sending out runners that fill in gaps over time — creating a lush green lawn without the demanding care that most carpet plants require.
If you have wanted a carpeted aquascape but do not run CO2 injection or high-tech lighting, this is the plant for you. It thrives in ordinary Pakistani home aquarium conditions and asks very little in return.

Planting Tips
Separate the bunch into individual plants before planting — do not plant them as a clump. Space each one about an inch apart and push the roots gently into the substrate, leaving the crown (where the leaves meet the roots) just above the surface. Burying the crown is the most common mistake and will cause the plant to rot.
💡 For best results: plant into Zarkhez TerraBlend substrate for root nutrition, and dose AquaBloom+ weekly for water column feeding. Dwarf Sagittaria is a heavy root feeder and will carpet significantly faster with proper substrate.
